About What Worked For Us

What Worked For Us is a project by For Goodness Sake, the team behind OMGYES. We’re dedicated to studying the parts of life that people currently walk alone. The things that make us uncomfortable, that aren’t openly talked about, that are understudied by scientists and researchers.

We partner with researchers at Indiana University and Yale University to scientifically gather the collective wisdom of thousands, distill it down into organized, practical insights and turn those into user-centered, radically open and honest online experiences.

Founded in 2014, our flagship project was the first ever large-scale probability study of the specifics of women’s sexual pleasure. We turned those findings into an honest, evidence-based resource, OMGYES.

We hope that by publishing the stories of people’s experiences, we will help make the conversation of pleasure less taboo and help shine guiding light on these crucial parts of the human experience, for this generation and for future generations.

Essays

Bigger questions, taken seriously.

These are essays on the parts of life we're quietly taught not to discuss; desire, pleasure, shame, and the strange fact that most of us have more language for coffee than for what we actually want.

Written by researchers, journalists, and people who've spent years thinking about this, they're less about technique than the ideas underneath: why the silence exists, what it costs us, and what a more honest culture might feel like.
